Onsite Medical Records Supervisor (Healthcare)

Location: Onsite at a hirify.global client site in San Diego, California, USA. Ability to travel is required.

What you will do

• Supervise assigned client accounts and answer day-to-day questions from clients and Release of Information Specialists.
• Coordinate onsite staffing, schedules, workflow distribution, time-off requests, payroll approvals, and coverage.
• Train and evaluate Release of Information Specialists and support hiring, counseling, and disciplinary recommendations.
• Review release-of-information requests, validate authorizations, retrieve and scan medical records, and document disclosures.
• Monitor productivity, quality, customer satisfaction, revenue goals, and prepare weekly and month-end operational reports.
• Maintain confidentiality, ensure HIPAA-compliant handling of information, manage supplies, and complete required administrative duties.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• RHIT certification or successful completion of an ROI Certification course with a score of at least 85% within 90 days is required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA privacy standards is required.
• Effective communication with clients, staff members, and management.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving history, and ability to travel.
• Experience with medical records or healthcare is beneficial; medical terminology coursework is preferred.
