Health Information Supervisor

Location: Virginia Beach, VA metro and surrounding facilities; local travel and regular on-site work required. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, with support for clients and staff both on-site and remotely.

Salary: $21.25–$27.13 per hour

What you will do

• Lead, train, motivate, and support Health Information Services staff while maintaining workflow and productivity.
• Oversee audit requests from payors, risk-management requests, ROI processing, medical-record workflows, and escalated calls.
• Review data and develop solutions for clients, leadership, and internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate with client and location management on complex issues and fluctuating operational needs.
• Participate in project teams and committees focused on operational strategies and process improvements.
• Support new-hire processes, reporting, performance management, payroll, and time and attendance activities.

Requirements

• Prior healthcare, health information management, medical records, or ROI experience required.
• Experience with ROI and EMR systems required.
• Lead or supervisory experience required, with 1–2 years of health information-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA standards and strict medical-record confidentiality.
• High School Diploma or GED; proficiency with computers, email, and office equipment.
• Ability to travel locally and work on-site regularly in the Virginia Beach area.

• Experience presenting to leadership, clients, and teams by video or in person.
