Engineering Team Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Architect, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions aligned with business goals and long-term product strategy.
• Lead a small team of developers through coaching, mentoring, onboarding, career development, and ongoing support.
• Drive engineering excellence through code reviews, testing practices, developer tooling, and development standards.
• Partner with Product Management, Quality Assurance, and engineering teams to plan, estimate, prioritize, and coordinate features and enhancements.
• Own execution by breaking down complex initiatives, removing blockers, managing technical risks, and supporting releases and post-release activities.
• Promote collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and clear communication.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-stack software development experience using JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with React, Angular, or Vue, plus Node and REST API frameworks such as Express or Fastify.
• Strong SQL knowledge, including query design, performance optimization, database migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Docker, Redis, event-driven architectures, background job processing, and queuing concepts.
• Ability to design scalable solutions, solve complex technical challenges, navigate ambiguity, and make sound engineering decisions.
• Strong communication, collaboration, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Previous experience as a team lead, technical lead, people manager, or mentor for a software development team.
• Experience leading sprint planning, retrospectives, estimation, onboarding, and process improvement.
• Knowledge of security analysis, permissioning models, and scalable distributed system design.
• Experience with Redux, MobX, Zustand, Zod, Tailwind, SASS, sockets, AWS Lambda, Amazon SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Experience developing AI pipelines, AI-powered endpoints, or agent-supported architectures.
