What you will do
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java applications for the next-generation customer fulfilment platform.
- Build and integrate APIs, microservices, event-driven components, and data-layer services.
- Improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical warehouse and fulfilment operations.
- Write maintainable, well-documented code and troubleshoot complex technical issues in real time.
- Support software throughout its lifecycle using continuous integration, delivery, and production support practices.
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with hardware specialists, data scientists, and operations teams.
Requirements
- Experience developing products using agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience building and supporting reliable, operationally robust full-stack and distributed Java applications.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot, with experience implementing complex or critical-path components.
- Knowledge of design patterns, domain modelling, idempotence, CQRS, eventual consistency, and performance-oriented design.
- Experience with automated testing, TDD, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, and automation.
- Ability to work in the Welwyn Garden City blended office-and-remote pattern.
