Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

Location: Remote-first within the UK, with occasional travel to Morley required

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, deploy, and support production-grade software solutions.
• Build scalable APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Contribute to frontend development with Vue and application development with Node.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Delivery teams in an agile environment.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, DevOps practices, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Troubleshoot issues and improve system performance, reliability, maintainability, and engineering standards.

Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Software Engineer delivering production-grade software.
• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and scalable services.
• Experience with Node and exposure to Vue for frontend development.
• Experience writing automated tests, maintaining code quality, and working with Git.
• Exposure to AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Agile environments, and DevOps principles.
