Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)

Location: Remote in the United Kingdom, with occasional travel to Morley when required

What you will do

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain reliable software for business-critical services.
• Build scalable APIs and backend services with Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and maintain applications and services using Node.js.
• Contribute to frontend development with Vue.js where required.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, automation, DevOps practices, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Delivery teams in an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Commercial experience delivering production-grade software as a Software Engineer.
• Strong backend development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and scalable services.
• Experience with Node.js, automated testing, code quality, and software design principles.
• Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD pipelines, Git, DevOps principles, and Agile ways of working.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and continuous learning skills.
