Construction Project Engineer (Data Center)

What you will do

• Provide technical and administrative support to the on-site Project Manager and construction team.
• Manage RFI logs, track responses, and distribute updated information to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate submittal and shop drawing reviews with construction teams, engineers, and architects.
• Conduct quality control inspections and document progress against plans and specifications.
• Assist with RFQ documentation for developers and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Assistant Project Manager, or in a similar role on large commercial, industrial, or infrastructure construction projects.
• Ability to interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with RFI and submittal management workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce professional documentation under time pressure.
• Strong organization skills for managing multiple concurrent workstreams.

Nice to have

• Experience with data centers, mission-critical facilities, or industrial construction projects.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Classification, TIA-942, and ASHRAE thermal guidelines.
• Knowledge of UPS, PDU, generator plants, switchgear, CRAC/CRAH cooling, BMS/DCIM, and structured cabling.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, GC or owner’s representative experience, or commissioning experience.
