Service Maintenance Technician - Mechanical

Location: Liverpool and surrounding areas; in-office/on-location work

What you will do

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs on dock levellers, DDLS systems, scissor lifts, back yard gates, sectional doors, roller shutters, rapid roll doors, and pallet stackers.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimize operational downtime.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certification to support safe and compliant equipment operation.
• Record maintenance activity accurately using digital reporting tools.
• Coordinate with site operations teams to complete work safely and with minimal disruption.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.

Requirements

• ONC or equivalent qualification.
• Recognized mechanical apprenticeship or NVQ Level 2/3.
• Full driving license.
• Health and safety awareness, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with diverse access control and lift systems, mechanical fault-finding, and diagnostics.
• Familiarity with powered doors, lifting platforms, compacting equipment, workplace machinery regulations, Office 365, and relevant technical upskilling modules.
