Engineering Support Operative (FMCG)

Location: Warrington, UK; onsite role with 2 day shifts, 2 night shifts, and 4 days off

Salary: £16.23 per hour

What you will do

• Maintain production machinery and respond quickly to stoppage calls from production and the SCADA system.
• Complete planned OAC maintenance tasks, including equipment strip-down, defect identification, and parts replacement.
• Identify machine parts from components and manuals to support replacement sourcing.
• Run production machinery when required and support pick-face re-addressing.
• Maintain records, SOPs, maintenance documentation, and approved or defective units and final products.
• Conduct root cause analysis and lead continuous improvement initiatives linked to OTIF and other performance targets.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in an FMCG environment.
• Mechanical mindset and working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools.
• Knowledge of production procedures and adherence to health and safety regulations, including continuous use of protective equipment.
• Strong communication, organisation, attention to detail, flexibility, and problem-solving skills.
• Systems knowledge, ideally including SCADA for monitoring line performance issues and advanced DiQ and WMS knowledge.
