Development Technologist

Location: Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom; hybrid, with 60% of the week spent at office locations or local sites

What you will do

• Risk-assess products to ensure they are safe, legal, responsibly sourced, and compliant with hirify.global policies.
• Support end-to-end product development with new product teams and suppliers.
• Manage product quality through ongoing monitoring, improvement, and complaint resolution.
• Assess risks across sourcing, ingredients, raw materials, manufacturing, and routes to market.
• Support supplier strategy and capability development through Joint Quality Plans and collaborative engagement.
• Develop and coach direct reports while promoting integrity and compliance with the Business Code of Conduct.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or qualification in a related discipline.
• Knowledge of product development and product requirements related to safety, legality, and responsible sourcing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and supply-chain considerations.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, decision-making, project-management, and critical-path skills.
• Good IT and systems skills, including data analysis and interpretation.

Nice to have

• Experience in the food or GNF industry.
