Director of Storage Tank Compliance Services (Environmental Compliance)

Location: Field-MA, United States; the role includes recurring inspections, testing, spill response, and other field activities.

What you will do

• Lead national aboveground and underground storage tank compliance management services.
• Develop regulatory strategies and oversee permitting, inspections, testing, release detection, spill response, remediation, and regulatory reporting.
• Set service-line goals, operating procedures, quality standards, budgets, schedules, and delivery strategies.
• Manage project performance, financial results, client relationships, proposals, contracts, and business-development activities.
• Support compliance technology, remote monitoring, data management, reporting, and service-delivery improvements.
• Recruit, mentor, and develop internal staff and environmental vendors while maintaining quality, safety, ethics, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies, Environmental Sciences, Compliance, or a similar field.
• At least 10 years of progressively responsible environmental compliance experience.
• Extensive experience leading AST and UST compliance management services and multistate environmental programs.
• Expert knowledge of AST and UST regulations, tank integrity, corrosion protection, leak detection, spill response, inspections, testing, and remediation.
• Experience with regulatory strategy, project and contract management, financial performance, business development, and multidisciplinary team leadership.
• Strong communication, negotiation, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, plus proficiency with compliance databases, remote-monitoring systems, project-management tools, and financial-reporting systems.
