Director, Head of EHS&S (Biopharma)

What you will do

• Lead the company-wide Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability program across multiple sites.
• Maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement through strategies, processes, systems, procedures, and performance metrics.
• Oversee incident response and investigations, environmental permits and reporting, compliance reviews, and risk management.
• Manage programs covering LOTO, confined space entry, industrial hygiene, hazard communication, PPE, workers compensation, and emergency management.
• Coordinate with operations to identify and mitigate risks through engineering controls, procedures, and training.
• Manage the EHS&S budget and matrix resources, develop subject matter experts, and oversee contracted EHS&S suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental, health, safety, engineering, or a scientific field.
• 15 years of related experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including communication of complex issues to executives and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple programs and projects and work effectively within a team environment.
• Knowledge of engineering or scientific problem-solving methods and MS Office, Outlook, and MS Project.
• Ability to comply with pharmaceutical and biotech regulations, including FDA cGMP, GDP, environmental, and occupational health and safety requirements.
