Mgr Project Quality (LNG Storage Tanks)

What you will do

• Implement the project quality management system and ensure compliance with company, code, client, industry, and contract requirements.
• Develop project and contract quality plans, inspection test plans, welding procedures, and other quality-control deliverables.
• Coordinate client pre-inspection meetings, site quality audits, material receiving inspections, vendor document reviews, and quality dossier submissions.
• Oversee welding, NDE, QA/QC personnel, certifications, training, resource allocation, and quality performance.
• Investigate non-conformances, develop corrective problem-solving methods, and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders, advise on project-specific quality decisions, and mentor less experienced personnel.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of relevant experience, including 5 years as a Project Quality Manager.
• Degree in Welding Engineering, Welding Technology, Industrial Technology, Mechanical Engineering with a welding emphasis, or Materials Science; equivalent welding technology experience may be considered.
• Experience overseeing welding or QA/QC for LNG or cryogenic API 620 storage tanks; knowledge of API 620 is preferred.
• Working knowledge of NDE methods including VT, MT, PT, SFT, and RT.
• Strong knowledge of applicable ASME and API codes and standards, metallurgy, quality management, leadership, and risk assessment.
• Work is performed at the project site in Southwest Louisiana.
