National Facilities Manager (FMCG)

Location: United Kingdom; frequent travel to six sites required, with the option to work from any of three main locations.

What you will do

• Manage facilities, maintenance, statutory compliance, and site services across six premises.
• Oversee refrigeration plants, buildings, utilities, ventilation, boilers, compressors, fire systems, and related assets.
• Develop preventative maintenance and facilities management programs, including lifecycle planning.
• Manage inspections, tenders, supplier bids, service-level agreements, contractors, and on-site works.
• Set and manage annual revenue and capital expenditure budgets, including multi-million-pound spend.
• Lead site teams and maintain safe, compliant, effective, and well-maintained facilities.

Requirements

• Strong maintenance engineering background and experience across multiple properties or sites.
• Experience in a large-scale FMCG environment and with ammonia and CO2 refrigeration plants.
• Degree or relevant qualification in facilities management, facilities engineering, project management, business management, or construction management.
• Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems, procurement, contracts, financial management, and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• IOSH or NEBOSH qualification, with knowledge of LOLER, LEV, and Pressure Systems Safety Regulations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, reporting, risk assessment, and contractor management skills.

Nice to have

• Further facilities management qualifications or membership of an FM industry organisation such as IWFM.
• Experience with computerised maintenance management systems and modern building technology.
