Mechanical Design Engineer (SolidWorks)

Location: Huntingdon, United Kingdom; based onsite in the office and occasionally in the lab. Work from home may be possible when practical for the business.

What you will do

• Solve engineering problems and develop new mechanical solutions.
• Design new products and upgrade existing designs for continuous inkjet printers.
• Prepare technical drawings and reports with results and analysis.
• Perform theoretical and practical analysis of mechanical systems.
• Apply DFMEA and develop prototypes to test design concepts.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent work experience in Mechanical Engineering.
• Several years of experience in engineering or product development.
• Experience with CAD, ideally SolidWorks or a similar tool.
• Technical detailing experience including GD&T, or willingness to learn.
• Strong theoretical and practical mechanical engineering skills.

Nice to have

• Finite Element Analysis experience with any software.
• Experience with engineering processes such as DFMEA and PSP.
• Experience in printer-related or similar industries.
