Quality Engineer

Location: Lisburn, United Kingdom; site-based quality team with smart/remote working available.

What you will do

• Develop and implement quality standards, control systems, and operational improvements.
• Monitor quality performance and inspect or test materials, equipment, processes, and products.
• Collaborate with operations leaders, engineering teams, and suppliers to improve controls and product quality.
• Investigate production and product issues, develop corrective actions, and lead 8D problem-solving activities.
• Manage nonconforming products, NCRs, field returns, and customer complaints.
• Support supplier performance evaluations, supplier visits, internal audits, and compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Engineering qualification at third level or at least three years of quality engineering experience.
• Good IT skills and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
• Ability to work with the site-based quality team in Lisburn.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing or quality environment.
• Supplier-facing management and customer complaint handling experience.
• Internal auditing training or experience.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing tools and working to deadlines.
