6-Month Student Placement - Electronic Engineering Consultant - 2027

What you will do

• Support multidisciplinary project teams in inventing new products and technologies.
• Contribute to technology and product development from invention and analysis through prototype design and transfer to manufacture.
• Work across applications including drug delivery devices, AI-enabled drug discovery, and 5G NTN handset antennas.
• Work on multiple projects and rapidly develop knowledge across new fields of science and technology.
• Build relationships with clients, present findings, and ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Develop as a consultant by understanding markets, building teams, and engaging with clients.

Requirements

• Currently studying Electronic Engineering or a closely related discipline and on track for at least a 2:1 degree.
• Strong A-Levels or equivalent qualifications, such as IB.
• At least two years of the degree must be completed when the six-month placement begins.
• Intellectual curiosity, inventiveness, and the ability to apply rigorous first-principles thinking.
• Commercial awareness, an entrepreneurial mindset, initiative, and personal responsibility.
• Strong collaboration, communication, strategic thinking, and systems-thinking skills.
