Pharmacy Technician (Retail Pharmacy)

Location: Chesterfield Extra, United Kingdom; scheduled onsite shifts within specified availability windows.

Salary: £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 per hour in stores within the M25. Minimum 16 hours per week guaranteed; roles from 12 hours may be available. Contracted hours: 22.25 per week.

What you will do

• Accurately dispense prescription medicines and assess their legal appropriateness.
• Provide professional advice on medicines, ailments, and pharmacy services.
• Support pharmacy management and follow standard operating procedures and dispensary routines.
• Maintain clean, organised, and compliant dispensary and consultation areas.
• Handle customer and healthcare professional queries within your competence.
• Complete prescription administration, promote pharmacy services, and support team members.

Requirements

• NVQ-level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification, or equivalent.
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician.
• Evidence of completing a recognised Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician training programme.
• Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
• Ability to maintain professional registration, training, and development standards.
