Pharmacy Technician

Location: Farnworth Superstore, Bolton, United Kingdom. Onsite pharmacy work with contracted hours scheduled within the stated availability windows.

Salary: £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 per hour in stores within the M25. Minimum 16 hours per week guaranteed, with some roles available from 12 hours.

What you will do

• Accurately dispense prescription medicines and assess their legal appropriateness.
• Provide professional advice on medicines, ailments, and pharmacy services.
• Complete prescription administration and respond to customer and healthcare professional queries within competence.
• Support pharmacy management, follow SOPs, and maintain clean, organised, compliant dispensary and consultation areas.
• Promote pharmacy services and support or coach colleagues when needed.
• Maintain GPhC registration, training, and professional development.

Requirements

• NVQ-level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification, or equivalent.
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician.
• Evidence of completing a recognised Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician training programme.
• Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements.
• Availability matching the required Sunday-to-Wednesday scheduling windows.
