Production Quality Intern (Aerospace)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite five days per week

Salary: $29 per hour

What you will do

• Develop inspection and verification procedures with Design, Production, Quality, and Test Engineering teams.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for non-conformance issues.
• Gather data and insights with cross-functional teams to drive continuous quality improvement.
• Support the development of production quality processes and systems.
• Develop dashboards, metrics, and visualizations to monitor factory health.

Requirements

• Passion for hardware development, manufacturing systems, and hands-on design work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must work onsite five days per week in San Francisco.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or other protected individual under applicable U.S. export regulations.

Nice to have

• Previous internship or coursework in a similar role.
• Experience with quality management systems or hardware manufacturing.
• Knowledge of Python, R, or SQL.
• Electrical or mechanical design experience.
• Ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure.
