2027 Summer Internship - Quality Assurance Engineering (Aerospace)

Location: Kinston, North Carolina, United States; 100% onsite. Candidates must be willing to temporarily live in the Kinston area during the 10–12-week internship.

What you will do

• Support quality assurance, problem-solving, transformation, lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, innovation, and Six Sigma projects.
• Learn and apply root cause analysis and continuous improvement processes.
• Update visual management systems, metrics, analyses, and manufacturing support tools.
• Document 5S scores, housekeeping audits, and foreign object debris levels.
• Support compliance activities and work with production teams on assembly, technical information, quality control, and safety.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing; Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering is highly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite and G Suite; knowledge of technical terms is required.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or work authorization support.
• Must be able to work onsite in Kinston, North Carolina, and temporarily live in the area during the internship.
• Strong organization, time management, written and verbal English communication, and ability to work with office and production-floor equipment.

Nice to have

• Prior hirify.global internship experience.
• AutoCAD and VBA proficiency.
• Previous office work experience.
