Associate Director, Preclinical and Translational PK/PD

Location: Tarrytown, New York, United States; four days per week on site

Salary: $176,100–$287,300 annually

What you will do

• Serve as a subject matter expert in preclinical PK/PD for discovery-stage project teams.
• Guide the design and execution of preclinical PK and pharmacology studies for early-stage drug discovery and IND projects.
• Coordinate with Therapeutic Proteins, Therapeutic Function Areas, Assay Development, Precision Medicine, Preclinical Operations, and PPK/PD management.
• Manage nonclinical PK studies and conduct PK/PD analyses using preclinical data.
• Present findings to project teams and senior management, and communicate project expectations and timelines.
• Prepare scientific reports and regulatory summaries in collaboration with Toxicology, Pathology, Clinical Pharmacology, and Quantitative Pharmacology teams.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacology, Pharmacokinetics, Biology, Molecular Biology, or Biochemistry.
• More than 8–10 years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical settings.
• Deep theoretical and applied understanding of PK and PD, including interpretation of therapeutic protein pharmacology and biology.
• Proven ability to plan, coordinate, lead PK or PK/PD studies, and analyze related data.
• Familiarity with PK/PD software such as WinNonLin, data visualization and AI software, scientific reporting, and regulatory summaries.
• Experience with siRNA, CRISPR-based therapeutics, or cell therapies is highly beneficial.
