Associate Director - QSP Quantitative Systems Pharmacology

Location: Morristown, New Jersey, United States; hybrid; US and Puerto Rico residents only

Salary: $148,500–$214,500 per year

What you will do

• Align modeling and simulation needs with project teams and develop QSP strategies for R&D programs.
• Develop and implement innovative mechanistic, multiscale models for drug discovery and development.
• Integrate and interpret heterogeneous preclinical and clinical data for model development and refinement.
• Translate model predictions into recommendations that support strategy, go/no-go decisions, and project differentiation.
• Communicate quantitative insights to scientific and non-scientific stakeholders and contribute to abstracts and manuscripts.
• Lead modeling workstreams independently and mentor other scientists.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Systems Biology, Systems Pharmacology, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of hands-on QSP modeling experience in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Demonstrated independence leading scientific projects, with a strong publication record in QSP modeling.
• Hands-on programming experience with Matlab, R, or Julia; Matlab is preferred.
• Experience using QSP models to influence go/no-go decisions, working across drug modalities, and applying disease biology in at least one therapeutic area.
• Experience with reproducible, well-documented modeling workflows and communicating quantitative insights to varied audiences.

Nice to have

• Experience mentoring junior scientists.
• Understanding of neurology, neuroinflammation, or neurodegeneration.
• Exposure to regulatory interactions or documentation involving model-informed drug development.
