What you will do

• Design and develop a service-oriented, decoupled web application for scientific end users.
• Architect data manipulation and storage for protein sequences, associated metadata, and machine learning model predictions.
• Design APIs for interacting with machine learning models, including versioned access over time.
• Build backend systems in a modern cloud environment.
• Collaborate with biologists, machine learning experts, and scientists.

Requirements

• Experience developing backend systems in a modern cloud environment.
• Professional experience with Python and its ecosystem.
• Familiarity with database system architecture and data warehouses.
• Ability to learn new programming languages, machine learning algorithms, and biological concepts quickly.
• Action-oriented approach, strong communication skills, and ability to work effectively in teams.
