Senior Software Engineer, Backend Development (AI)

What you will do

• Own sizable engineering projects and services within the Enterprise Solution Engineering Product Recommendation team.
• Architect and implement AI agents, agentic workflows, and personalized recommendation services.
• Build and optimize machine learning pipelines covering data processing, model serving, training, inference, and post-processing.
• Design and operate scalable cloud-native architectures using managed services such as GKE, BigQuery, and Pub/Sub.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and improve observability, incident management, DevOps practices, and production operating procedures.
• Lead system design, code reviews, technical guidance, mentoring, performance tuning, and collaboration with Data Scientists and Product Managers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python or Go.
• Experience building web services on Linux and knowledge of REST or GraphQL network API design.
• Good understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, including MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Proactive approach, strong interpersonal skills, and interest in MarTech and customer-centric product development.
• Openness to using AI tools such as Copilot to improve coding efficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Helm.
• Experience developing LLM applications, multi-agent systems, or RAG architectures.
• Understanding of the machine learning lifecycle and familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks or vector databases.
• Experience designing large-scale distributed systems and data-intensive applications.
• Experience with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
