Senior Associate Scientist, RNA Therapeutics

Salary: $80,300–$131,100 annually

What you will do

• Develop assays for high-throughput screening of oligonucleotide libraries.
• Execute screening of hundreds to thousands of siRNA and antisense oligonucleotide candidates.
• Optimize cell culture, bDNA, RT-qPCR, cell line generation, and transfection workflows.
• Design probes, conduct compatibility testing, and perform western blot analysis.
• Operate automated and semi-automated laboratory processes using liquid handlers, KingFisher, and QuantStudio instruments.
• Independently execute and refine techniques while adapting to shifting department priorities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; a master’s degree is preferred.
• 2+ years of industrial experience in a relevant field is highly appreciated.
• Ability to independently execute and refine techniques with general guidance.
• Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Ability to work onsite in Tarrytown, New York.

Nice to have

• Experience with automated or semi-automated liquid handlers, KingFisher, and QuantStudio.
• Knowledge of oligonucleotide chemistry and RNA biology.
• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
