Senior Associate Scientist, Cellular Analytical Development (mRNA/LNP)

Location: Boston, Massachusetts; laboratory experiments are required.

Salary: $84,000–$103,000 USD annually, plus bonus and equity incentives.

What you will do

• Run and develop cell-based analytical methods for mRNA and lipid nanoparticle products.
• Transfer cell-based methods to external collaborators.
• Use statistical tools to analyze experimental data and draw independent conclusions.
• Provide analytical support for screening, optimization, and scale-up in mRNA and LNP process development.
• Conduct laboratory experiments and maintain strong documentation and technical writing.

Requirements

• BS or advanced degree in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with cell-based assays and readouts such as ELISA, PCR, and flow cytometry.
• Experience with mammalian or ex vivo tissue culture.
• Understanding of enzymatic and chemical reactions, PCR, plasmid processing, and analytical techniques for biologics or nucleic acid therapies.
• Ability to work independently across multiple projects with strong documentation, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to conduct laboratory experiments in Boston, Massachusetts.

Nice to have

• Flow cytometry-based assay development and experience with T cells or other primary cell cultures.
• Immunology or late clinical-stage cell-based potency assay experience.
• Benchling template development, data handling, or laboratory automation experience.
• Familiarity with process development or regulatory aspects of mRNA-LNP products.
