What you will do

• Plan, direct, and coordinate land acquisition activities.
• Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close land acquisitions aligned with division goals.
• Manage due diligence, initial master planning, governmental approvals, and entitlement processes.
• Coordinate with land development, design, legal, and regional teams on purchase contracts and development communities.
• Prepare land valuation analyses, corporate budgets, approval memoranda, and acquisition documentation.
• Manage departmental overhead budgets and supervise employees in the Land Acquisition Department.

Requirements

• Experience managing land acquisition activities and residential development opportunities.
• Ability to negotiate with landowners, attorneys, and brokers.
• Experience managing due diligence, entitlement, governmental approval, and land development processes.
• Ability to prepare land valuations, budgets, corporate approval documents, and analytics.
• Ability to supervise, hire, train, and evaluate employees.
• Professional and ethical conduct in customer and business relationships.

• Annual salary range of $150,000–$280,000 depending on experience and other factors.
