Foundation Total Station Operator

Location: On-site field surveying and construction work at residential foundation and basement sites.

What you will do

• Perform all phases of field surveying for residential construction.
• Use a Total Station and foundation plans to lay out basements, footings, walls, and other foundation elements.
• Establish construction stakeout points for features such as drop inlets and sewer lines.
• Record horizontal and vertical control points and upload Total Station data to and from a computer.
• Coordinate with CAD operators and subcontractors to resolve surveying and construction issues.
• Assist the foreman with additional tasks and work overtime as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to operate a Total Station for foundation and construction layout.
• Ability to read and work from foundation plans.
• Ability to record precise survey measurements and manage digital Total Station data.
• Ability to perform daily instrument care, charging, and maintenance.
• Ability to follow construction-site safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to coordinate professionally with CAD operators, subcontractors, and the foreman.
