Pharmacy Technician - Northampton South Extra

Location: Northampton, United Kingdom; store-based role

Salary: £14.21 per hour, rising to £15.48 per hour in stores within the M25. Minimum 16 hours per week; roles from 12 hours may also be available. Contracted hours for this role: 24.25 per week.

What you will do

• Accurately dispense prescription medicines and assess their legal appropriateness.
• Provide professional advice on medicines, ailments, and pharmacy services.
• Support pharmacy management, dispensary routines, and standard operating procedures.
• Complete prescription administration accurately and on time.
• Handle customer and healthcare professional queries within competence.
• Maintain clean, organised, and compliant dispensary and consultation areas while supporting colleagues.

Requirements

• NVQ-level Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician qualification, or equivalent.
• Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician.
• Evidence of completing a recognised Pharmacy Technician or Accuracy Checking Technician training programme.
• Proof of meeting annual Continuing Professional Development requirements.
• Availability for scheduled shifts within the stated store availability windows, with at least three weeks' notice.
