Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (Locum)

Pharmacy operation providing prescription dispensing, checking, and delivery services.

What you will do

• Check dispensed prescriptions and send orders through courier services.
• Follow standard operating procedures, operational guidelines, and practice standards.
• Manage pharmacy near misses and create action plans.
• Work with the Risk and Safety team to identify root causes and resolve incidents.
• Coordinate with Service, Pharmacy Management, and Supply Chain teams to dispatch orders and manage inventory.
• Support service development, patient experience, and training for the pharmacy workforce.

Requirements

• GPhC registration is required.
• Recognised Accuracy Checking Technician qualification or active enrolment in an accredited ACT training programme.
• Strong professional expertise and knowledge of pharmacy operations and national and local services.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines while maintaining safety and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, customer-focused approach.
• Flexibility to work hours that suit business needs.
