Service Delivery Professional (Security)

Location: Onsite five days a week in London or Ipswich, United Kingdom

Salary: Competitive salary; a DV allowance of up to £5,000 per annum may be paid monthly while the required clearance is held.

What you will do

• Technically oversee Service Delivery Engineers and ensure compliance with operational standards, electrical safety regulations, and customer SLAs.
• Develop and maintain the engineering competency framework for power generation, distribution, HVAC, and critical infrastructure projects.
• Deliver technical mentoring, competency assessments, and on-the-job training for engineers and apprentices.
• Improve departmental policies, procedures, engineering practices, governance, and quality assurance processes.
• Manage operational risks, safety incidents, compliance breaches, and technical errors.
• Coordinate engineering resources with Resource Management and Project Delivery teams to meet delivery, budget, and performance targets.

Requirements

• Ability to lead and develop a high-performing engineering team through coaching, support, and clear direction.
• Strong relationship-building, collaboration, accountability, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Technical knowledge to guide decisions and solve complex engineering challenges.
• Ability to identify skills gaps and create development opportunities.
• DV-level security clearance is required.
• Electrical or power engineering qualifications, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations, and experience with power generation, electrical distribution, critical power infrastructure, and electrical safety legislation are desirable.

Nice to have

• HNC, HND, NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, or equivalent electrical or power engineering qualification.
• Current 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations qualification under BS 7671.
• Experience in temporary power, power generation, electrical distribution systems, and critical power infrastructure.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in service delivery or operational environments.
