What you will do

• Establish internal controls across sales, purchasing, construction, land development, accounts payable, job starts, and closings.
• Provide timely and accurate financial information and five-year business plans to division, regional, and corporate leadership.
• Oversee financial reporting, monthly close procedures, and the accuracy of division financial statements.
• Review land deals and monitor development and selling-and-building budgets for compliance and adequate supporting documentation.
• Oversee operational policies across departments and implement more efficient procedures as technology evolves.
• Support compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and ensure personnel understand company policies and systems.

Requirements

• Experience overseeing financial operations and reporting for a business division.
• Knowledge of internal controls, corporate policies, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Ability to develop business plans, analyze budgets, and evaluate land transactions.
• Ability to ensure personnel are trained to use the JD Edwards system.
• Professional and ethical approach to business operations.
• Ability to travel overnight.
