What you will do

• Develop, optimize, qualify, validate, and implement immune, cell-based, molecular, and biomarker assays.
• Design and execute experiments involving ELISA, multiplex immunoassays, viral neutralization, functional antibody assays, mammalian cell culture, flow cytometry, cytokine assays, PCR/qPCR, transcriptomics, and sequencing.
• Troubleshoot experiments and evaluate emerging instrumentation, automation, robotics, laboratory software, and high-throughput technologies.
• Analyze, compile, and present study data; prepare reports, manuscripts, scientific presentations, SOPs, and protocols.
• Maintain GCLP and quality-system compliance, perform QC/QA activities, and support laboratory inventory and supplies.
• Conduct literature reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on vaccine, immune-monitoring, biomarker, and cancer research.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field, or six years of relevant experience in lieu of the degree.
• At least two years of experience in a GCLP clinical immunology laboratory or related biotechnology or pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience with ELISA, viral neutralization assays, mammalian cell culture, and immune or molecular assay development, qualification, and validation.
• Experience with GCLP/GxP environments, LIMS, good documentation practices, and SOP writing.
• Strong computer and data-analysis skills, including relevant software such as SoftMax, Excel, PowerPoint, R, Python, JMP, or Prism.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. The role may involve exposure to infectious materials and requires medical clearance and immunizations.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in Biology, Immunology, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• At least five years of related experience, including diagnostics, clinical trials, clinical immunological studies, or assay standardization.
• Experience with robotics, large data sets, assay validation documentation, or international research collaborations.
• Knowledge of GCLP, CLIA, FDA requirements, or other regulatory standards for clinical assays.
• PMP certification.
