Program Manager I (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Dayton, Ohio, with work performed in an office or hybrid environment. U.S. citizenship and a current active Secret U.S. security clearance are required.

What you will do

• Manage multiple programs across customer relationships, cost, schedule, technical planning, and execution.
• Track and report program status, performance, risks, opportunities, issues, and corrective actions.
• Lead and supervise cross-functional program and project staff.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
• Support resource planning, proposal development, audits, contract negotiations, and business operations.
• Coordinate program activities to meet cost, budget, schedule, and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, project management, management, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• At least 6 years of progressive project or program management experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
• At least 1 year of experience leading teams with three or more cross-functional members.
• Experience with proposals and quotes, contract negotiations, multiple projects or small programs, customer-facing program leadership, and financial decision-making.
• Strong capabilities in program integration, resource coordination, risk management, conflict resolution, communication, presentations, strategic thinking, and team development.
• Current active Secret U.S. security clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Nice to have

• PMP certification or an advanced degree in business, management, engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of FAR, DFARS, PMBOK, CMMI, agile or spiral development, Earned Value Management, and corporate project management tools.
• Experience with ISO 9001 policies and processes and application tools or data architectures.
