Phlebotomist

Location: 788 North Jefferson St, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States; occasional travel to additional sites may be required.

What you will do

• Perform blood collections using venipuncture and capillary techniques for patients of all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other testing services.
• Prepare collected specimens for testing and analysis while maintaining patient and specimen logs.
• Enter patient information accurately and process billing information and payments as needed.
• Provide customer service to patients and complete related administrative and clerical duties.
• Travel to additional Patient Service Centers or client offices when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification, a completed training program, or at least 3 months of phlebotomy experience.
• Accredited-agency certification or training is required when substituting for work experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and a proven customer-service record.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision; reliable transportation is required.
• Ability to pass a standardized color-blindness test and work overtime when needed.

Nice to have

• At least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
