Phlebotomist Test Coordinator (Oncology)

What you will do

• Perform venipunctures, verify patient identity and requisitions, and maintain specimen integrity.
• Prepare and track blood specimens, document collection details, and maintain collection and quality-control logs.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate blood draws, patient care services, and testing requirements.
• Collaborate with Field Sales and internal operations teams to resolve missing information, delays, cancellations, and redraws.
• Document account communications, investigate escalated issues, and explain root causes and resolutions.
• Follow CAP/CLIA standards, healthcare regulations, infection-prevention procedures, and organizational policies.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Oncology experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; BS/BA preferred.
• Phlebotomy certificate as required by state regulations.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and independent-work skills.
• Ability to work in a clinic setting, wear scrubs, perform safe blood draws, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds.
