Engineering Manager, Infrastructure (AI)

Location: Remote, USA

Base salary: $156,000–$195,000 for Zone 3, $171,600–$214,500 for Zone 2, or $179,400–$224,250 for Zone 1, depending on geographic zone.

What you will do

• Lead two squads responsible for Omada’s platform and engineering systems from prototype through production and ongoing maintenance.
• Manage, hire, and mentor engineers while setting team direction, capacity plans, roadmaps, and delivery priorities.
• Own sprint shaping, backlog refinement, estimation, cycle time, stakeholder alignment, and delivery trade-offs.
• Ship production code every sprint using AI-assisted engineering workflows.
• Own operational health, including on-call rotations, MTTR, incident analysis, and service reliability.
• Manage annual vendor budgets and contracts while partnering with Engineering, Product, Design, IT, InfoSec, Legal, Compliance, and Procurement.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing engineers or equivalent delivery leadership.
• Experience shipping mission-critical software to production and owning its ongoing operation.
• Experience with roadmap planning, capacity management, prioritization, estimation, trade-off evaluation, and stakeholder negotiation.
• Current or recent hands-on production coding experience with infrastructure or application technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Ruby, Python, GitOps, or internal tools.
• Hands-on experience directing AI agents through real-world production changes and evaluating where AI-assisted development is effective.
• Understanding of CI/CD, logging, monitoring, telemetry, security, and operational reliability, plus strong written communication skills.
