Senior Manager of the AI Team

Location: Fully remote within the United States; US-based candidates required. Work follows US business hours.

Salary: $192,000–$240,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Manage and coach an engineering team, providing feedback and career development support.
• Structure and sequence work while communicating delivery status and quality metrics.
• Partner with Product to translate strategy into roadmaps and engineering plans.
• Contribute directly to the design and implementation of production AI systems.
• Own architectural decisions involving API design, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Lead operational readiness, including observability, AI system evaluation, testing, and cost efficiency.

Requirements

• 6+ years of production experience with Python.
• 2+ years of experience managing an engineering team.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI/ML tools and frameworks.
• Experience shipping a complex system with significant customer impact.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; current authorization to work in the United States is required.
