Maintenance Mechanic NE

Location: Fort Worth, Texas, United States; onsite work at the hirify.global Fort Worth Distribution Center.

Salary: $23.20–$29.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to restore equipment functionality and reduce downtime.
• Replace defective parts and manage inventory, tracking, and ordering of spare parts.
• Maintain building systems, including lighting, plumbing, and grounds.
• Coordinate with operations staff, assign tasks, monitor work quality, and escalate unresolved issues.
• Follow safety procedures and report work-order progress to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or a related field.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic systems.
• Knowledge of power tools, maintenance equipment, technical manuals, schematics, work orders, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Current driver's license and current forklift certification.
• Ability to work independently and with a team, manage multiple priorities, and perform physical repair work including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

Nice to have

• Experience in a distribution center, warehouse, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with maintenance tracking systems such as CMMS.
