General Counsel (Healthcare)

Location: United Kingdom, hybrid; possible US travel required

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate MSAs, SOWs, supplier and contractor agreements, confidentiality agreements, and other commercial contracts.
• Provide practical legal advice to stakeholders across the UK and US businesses on contractual, corporate, employment, regulatory, and commercial matters.
• Advise on liability, indemnities, intellectual property, confidentiality, data protection, insurance, and termination provisions.
• Develop contracting processes, templates, playbooks, policies, and guidance to improve consistency and risk management.
• Support cross-border legal matters, corporate transactions, acquisitions, investments, and integration activity.
• Partner with the Board, People/HR, business teams, and external counsel to identify risks and develop pragmatic solutions.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in England and Wales, the US, or another relevant jurisdiction.
• Approximately 8–10 years of post-qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Good knowledge of corporate, employment, and commercial law.
• Experience advising on UK, US, and cross-border legal matters, including data privacy and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Experience supporting international organisations and stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

Nice to have

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, medical communications, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience supporting M&A, corporate transactions, or a private-equity-backed organisation.
