Senior Data Analyst (Internal Audit Analytics)

Location: Hybrid in Vienna, Virginia; Pensacola, Florida; or Winchester, Virginia, United States. Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Salary: $96,900-$141,600 annually.

What you will do

• Perform complex analytical and statistical modeling on large datasets to identify risks in business processes and controls.
• Define data requirements, business rules, data quality criteria, and technical requirements with technology teams and business users.
• Collect, clean, process, analyze, and visualize data from lines of business.
• Develop validation, profiling, cleansing, outlier detection, imputation, and anomaly detection processes.
• Partner with audit, data science, and business stakeholders on analytics best practices and statistical model maintenance.
• Lead small projects from inception through deployment and maintenance with minimal supervision.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, or R; data manipulation; scripting; ETL; and advanced data cleaning and preprocessing.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis, including distributions, variance, standard deviation, correlation, regression, and statistical testing.
• Knowledge of data structures and data extraction tools such as PySpark and Power BI, plus strong understanding of data governance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Experience in compliance, operational risk, enterprise risk management, or internal audit.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and anomaly detection or unsupervised learning.
• Advanced experience with MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
