Sr. Data Analyst, Customer Analytics (Insurance)

Salary: $84,724–$120,000 per year, plus bonus and/or commission eligibility.

What you will do

• Develop customer insights that improve retention, growth, product adoption, operational efficiency, and client satisfaction.
• Design, build, and maintain BI dashboards and reports covering customer health, engagement, adoption, and churn risk.
• Own core dashboards and repeatable analytics deliverables while improving reporting efficiency and insight quality.
• Apply regression, clustering, and predictive modeling to forecast customer behavior.
• Monitor data governance and quality, and automate analytics workflows.
• Partner with Client Success leadership, Product, Sales, and Operations to communicate findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or data analyst roles, ideally supporting customer-facing functions.
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar BI tools.
• Foundation in statistical analysis, including regression, ANOVA, cluster analysis, and factor analysis.
• Python or R experience for data analysis and automation.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex findings into clear narratives.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Insurance or insurtech industry experience.
• Experience with dbt, BigQuery, Snowflake, Salesforce, customer health scores, churn models, or adoption analytics.
• Exposure to predictive and prescriptive analytics, AI/ML-assisted analysis, prompt engineering, or agentic AI frameworks.
• Business acumen, ownership, curiosity, collaboration, adaptability, and strong stakeholder translation skills.
