Sr Compliance Data Analyst (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in San Francisco, Lehi, or New York; in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Remote placement will not be considered. Local hours are required across PT, MT, or ET time zones, with flexibility across time zones when needed. Relocation is offered based on actual job level.

Salary: $81,000–$125,000 target base salary annually, plus potential equity and annual bonus.

What you will do

• Tune existing BSA/AML transaction-monitoring models and rules, watchlist screening processes, and develop new processes as needed.
• Streamline ad-hoc reporting and ongoing performance monitoring for BSA/AML and regulatory compliance.
• Enhance Community Reinvestment Act reporting in support of the strategic plan.
• Perform ongoing UAT for new products and channels across transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, and screening models.
• Support internal and external audits, regulatory exams, exam readiness, and strategic compliance projects in collaboration with Technology, Model Risk Management, and Data Engineering.
• Prepare periodic reporting materials for executive leadership and use analytical judgment to identify and mitigate risk.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of analytics experience with SQL, RStudio, Python, or similar tools.
• At least 2 years of compliance or financial-crimes compliance experience in a regulated financial institution; fintech experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of BSA/AML, Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, OFAC/sanctions, Equal Credit Opportunity Act, Fair Housing Act, CRA, and fair and responsible banking regulations.
• Experience using AI tools for exploration, pattern recognition, and modeling.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, prioritization, and ambiguity-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
