Director, Supply Chain (Manufacturing)

Location: Irvine, California, United States; standard office or hybrid environment

Salary: $172,480–$257,900 per year, depending on the geographic market.

What you will do

• Develop and execute global commodity and supplier strategies supporting growth, supply continuity, risk mitigation, and cost competitiveness.
• Build strategic supplier relationships and lead executive-level negotiations for commercial agreements, capacity commitments, and long-term partnerships.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and Program Management on new product introductions, cost reduction, and business objectives.
• Lead supplier performance management and risk mitigation using market intelligence, analytics, and business insights.
• Develop a high-performing supply chain team through coaching, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Travel approximately 25–40% to supplier locations and hirify.global facilities for reviews, negotiations, escalations, and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain, procurement, strategic sourcing, commodity management, or supplier management within manufacturing or technology.
• Experience leading executive-level supplier negotiations, strategic sourcing initiatives, and long-term supplier partnerships.
• Expertise in strategic sourcing, commodity management, spend analytics, supplier performance management, and supply risk mitigation.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, influencing, analytical, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement systems, Microsoft Excel, and data-driven decision-making tools.
