Senior Supply Chain Manager (Long-Lead Equipment)

Location: Seattle, United States

Salary: $100,000–$180,000 USD per year, plus potential bonus, equity, and/or commission.

Nscale is building a vertically integrated GenAI cloud platform spanning data centers, software, and applications with a focus on sustainable technology.

What you will do

• Own long-lead equipment strategies across assigned programs, including sourcing, make-versus-buy, inventory, and multi-year capacity planning.
• Translate project schedules and engineering specifications into demand forecasts, procurement milestones, and spend plans.
• Identify, qualify, and manage OEMs and strategic suppliers through sourcing events, negotiations, contracts, scorecards, and business reviews.
• Manage the full purchase-to-delivery lifecycle, coordinating logistics, customs, staging, installation, and commissioning requirements.
• Identify and mitigate supply, schedule, quality, and capacity risks through alternate sources, safety stock, and dual-sourcing strategies.
• Improve long-lead planning processes, ERP/MRP workflows, BOM structures, lead-time assumptions, and performance KPIs while leading cross-functional reviews and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Significant experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations involving long-lead materials or capital equipment.
• Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with tight deadlines and high business impact.
• Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems and advanced planning tools.
• Excellent negotiation, contract management, supplier relationship, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, influence stakeholders at multiple levels, and work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing, energy, construction, data centers, semiconductors, or another capital-intensive industry.
• Experience managing global supplier bases and international logistics.
• Experience implementing or scaling long-lead planning processes and tools.
