Sr Staff Commodity Manager (Construction and Facilities)

Location: Hybrid work arrangement based at the Normandale campus in Minnesota, United States; travel up to 10%. The role supports U.S. sites in Normandale, Shakopee, Longmont, and Fremont, with selected support for Springtown, UK.

Estimated base salary: $120,265–$175,283 per year, depending on work location, skills, experience, and education.

What you will do

• Own U.S. category strategy and execution for facilities, construction, and corporate services from project planning through contract handover.
• Lead commercial strategies for capital construction programs, including cost estimates, RFPs, competitive bids, supplier selection, and construction administration.
• Run supplier evaluations and sourcing projects for maintenance, janitorial, food service, security, water treatment, energy, fitness, EHS, Finance, and HR services.
• Negotiate contracts, statements of work, renewals, extensions, payment terms, risk allocation, liability protection, and service performance requirements.
• Manage a multi-year project pipeline with forecasts, savings targets, milestones, and completion dates.
• Partner with Facilities, Engineering, EHS, Legal, Finance, site leadership, consultants, contractors, and strategic suppliers to deliver cost, quality, schedule, risk, and continuity outcomes.

Requirements

• Significant experience in indirect sourcing, commodity management, or procurement, including construction and facilities categories.
• Experience leading complex capital construction sourcing across core and shell, MEP, interiors, general contractor, and specialist trade packages.
• Strong RFP, bid-management, supplier qualification, commercial evaluation, negotiation, and award-justification experience.
• Strong contract and statement-of-work negotiation skills, including indemnities, liabilities, payment conditions, and collaboration with Legal.
• Experience working across multiple sites, functions, senior stakeholders, and time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience, Master’s degree with 8+ years, PhD with 5+ years, or equivalent education and experience.

Nice to have

• CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or another recognized professional certification.
• Semiconductor, electronics, wafer fab, cleanroom, or advanced manufacturing facilities experience.
• Experience sourcing corporate or managed site services and exposure to front-end equipment procurement or technical supplier evaluation.
• Experience supporting international sites, particularly in the UK or EMEA.
