Data Scientist/Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Redwood City, California, United States; client-facing role with travel required based on business needs.

Salary: $136,000–$183,000 USD annual base pay

What you will do

• Lead the research, design, implementation, and deployment of AI models, agentic solutions, and optimization algorithms.
• Partner with customers to build and scale AI applications on the hirify.global Platform.
• Contribute to new AI capabilities within the platform.
• Analyze model performance across enterprise deployments and recommend improvements for recall and false-positive rates.
• Collaborate with data engineers, subject matter experts, and customer teams to source and validate data assets.

Requirements

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with generative AI, agentic systems, supervised and unsupervised learning, regression, and classification.
• Strong foundations in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics.
• Experience building and deploying models at scale in distributed or cloud-native environments.
• Ability to lead projects independently and collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python; experience with JavaScript, Java, or Scala.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or LlamaIndex, vector databases, and RAG architectures.
• Portfolio of AI projects, publications, GitHub work, or open-source contributions.
