Sr. Data Engineer (Python/PySpark)

What you will do

• Design, build, and own core data models and infrastructure for the Eclipse Platform and Data Marketplace.
• Develop data quality monitoring with source-to-target validation and anomaly detection.
• Build and optimize data pipelines, ingestion tools, and data architectures for large and unstructured datasets.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Cloud, IT, and Security teams on product decisions, system improvements, and data governance.
• Create dashboards for monitoring platform performance, availability, and user behavior.
• Prepare reporting, publications, and industry insights for leadership.

Requirements

• Proficiency in data modeling, analysis, relational database design, data warehousing, and multidimensional data models.
• Expertise in Python for data ingestion, web scraping, external APIs, and data science packages.
• Experience with PySpark, ELT/ETL development, data pipelines, and large disconnected or unstructured datasets.
• Proficiency in machine learning, NLP, or deep learning using Python.
• Experience with rapid prototyping, complex analytics, and generating actionable insights.
• Ability to collaborate across disciplines and maintain ETL artifacts such as schemas, data dictionaries, and transformations.

• Experience in a financial services setting.
