Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Fully remote within the United States

Salary: $185,000–$205,000 annually

What you will do

• Consult with internal clients and build data products and workflows for critical operations.
• Migrate and modernize legacy workloads to cloud environments, including Databricks, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Develop, train, and deploy machine learning solutions for complex business problems.
• Drive client adoption of AI, large language models, agentic workflows, and cloud tooling.
• Create reference use cases, tutorials, reference code, and training materials.
• Host office hours and upskill clients on data science and cloud capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, systems, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline, plus 15+ years of experience or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced SQL for data analysis.
• At least 2 years of experience with leading cloud platforms such as Databricks, Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience across the end-to-end data science workflow, including dataset identification, production deployment, and tools such as NumPy, SciPy, and MLflow.
• Strong understanding of traditional machine learning toolboxes and working knowledge of LLMs and agentic AI workflows.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a suitability/public trust clearance.

Nice to have

• 5+ years of data science experience shipping multiple products into operation.
• Experience building dashboards and reports for operational needs.
• Experience with R, Stata, or SAS, including refactoring these codebases to Python.
• Experience shipping products that leverage LLMs or AI agents.
